I loved my DTM experience. I joined being new to the conscious dance scene, wanting inspiration and a few skills to offer movement medicine to the leadership people I coach and facilitate with. The design of the programme is varied - there’s a mix of larger group and small group activities, plenty of dancing, frameworks for us to use in whatever way that aligns with us, and a manual the size of a small house :) I was challenged at times, felt the vulnerability of facilitating as practice with my peers, but it was so so good to learn and grow alongside a fab cohort - and it felt like a safe learning environment - there was so much warm, kind and skilled support and expertise on offer. I feel like I’ve become part of something I wasn’t expected and hopefully this is just the beginning of my relationship with DTM. Huge thanks to the whole team.

Excellent leadership, and facilitation training ! VERY well thought out, and executed. Respectful consideration throughout. Practical and nuanced training that can only come from a place of deep attunement of one's craft, which Bernice embodies with luminous humanity. I am proud to be a part of this family. This did not change me, it helped me re-member myself.

I came not knowing what I was getting into and I left surrounded by a new family that had had my back during my entire inner journey. For ever grateful for the love, healing and beauty that you bring to the world. and also...DTM DJs are the best :)

I had such a profound experience in this immersion, I cannot recommend it enough. Bernice and the team created such a rich, transformative retreat, where we have all been each other's witnesses both in and outside the dance floor. I came out of it with so much inspiration, insight and memories for a lifetime. I also loved the venue and the connection to nature. Can't wait to be back...

This is the second event I have been too that is run by Dance the Medicine. Both have been profoundly transformative in their impact on me as a person. Inception used the power of ritual and dance to help everyone get in touch with deeper parts of ourselves that I did't even realise I had. The Venue of the Oasis is an amazing setting to spend time in. The accommodation has all the essentials, the food is lovely and the staff are kind. Then add onto that the views, the wildlife, the gardens and 2 amazing pools. Top class The retreat itself has quite a full day of activities (which are all optional of course). The first layer is fantastic music in a dance space that becomes otherworldly as the week develops. This is such a safe space of freedom that I have only experienced at Dance the Medicine events. The next layer is the set up by the team for each and every dance where ritual is used to allow us access the place we would rather ignore. Over the week this becomes a powerful conduit for self reflection. The next layer of support I found was the group field of deep lasting connections. It really amazes me how within such a short space of time a bunch of strangers can become so tight knight that connections are made that allow difficult stories to be shared in quiet corners. This extends onto the dance floor where vulnerabilities are loved just as much as strengths and as a man this is not something that is not common to experience. The final layer the its impossible to put words on....but i"ll try. This is the sense of being part of something that is bigger that all of us. I had moments where I felt I had transcended into a divine experience. Brief moments of bliss where everything made sense in the human experience. So for anyone thinking about going to a Dance the Medicine Event. Just book it
