Our Dream Team at Dance the Medicine includes established Conscious and Ecstatic Dance event organizer, movement facilitators and DJ's, We are diverse, coming from a wide array of backgrounds and modalities with varying visions about how to deliver our dance medicine to the world. What we share is a love of dance, music and community. We are collaborative, empathetic, action-minded and believe that dance has the ability to change the world! Come learn, play and DANCE with us!

I loved the accommodation, the training, the people, the food! I do think there is room for improvement on a few things: I think the training should have level 1 and level 2 and that they shouldn't happen at the same time. So level 1 would be to learn the basics and level 2 we get to create sets and learn more technical related things. Since we were given tracks it would have been great to have us all use the given tracks to create a 1-hour set and share it within our group if it's not possible to do so for the whole group. It would have been great to be able to DJ with the given set while our peers dance to it and then we get feedback. And we could have done that (create a 1-hour set) as well if we had our own tracks already. I also think that the individual groups as they were should have happened right after a dance and not after lunch specially since some groups only discussed about the software and technique. It wasn't very useful without being in front of the console. If there is ever a Level 2 training, I'll be there :)

Loved this retreat and was so inspired by how Bernice and her amazing team work together. I appreciated the care and professionalism, the flexibility, the honesty, the creativity, the magic, the music, the dance... The training was fantastic, both in terms of training content and interpersonal relationships, and the way Bernice and all the staff accompanied us not only with expertise but also with so much heart!
